Barbara Usher is an accomplished senior engineering program management professional. She has a successful broad-based career defining and guiding the implementation of industry best practices, standards, processes, applications, and tools to strengthen organizations and drive competitive growth. She has extensive expertise in leading and delivering cross-functional transformational solutions in large organizations while coaching and mentoring others. 

Barbara is a former Google employee where she spent more than six years managing cross-functional technology projects relating to delivering innovative Corporate Finance and HR solutions.  She was also a career coach in Google's internal Guru coaching program. 

Prior to Google she was a management consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers  and played key roles in several global system implementations in corporations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Barbara is passionate about inspiring growth and possibilities in others. She brings over thirty years of experience working in technology in Silicon Valley in a variety of roles and industries. Her work is at the intersection of technology, change management, and coaching.

 

Her coaching style is characterized by compassion, empathy, and a deep belief that we can achieve anything we set our minds to. Her transition into coaching has been fueled by her passion for education and commitment to help others find balance in the world of technology. Barbara migrated to the US from Belize and this experience enables her to bring a multicultural perspective to her consulting and coaching. 

Barbara earned her PhD and MS from Claremont Graduate University in Information Systems Technology and a BA in Business Administration from Mount St. Mary’s University. She is an adjunct professor at Claremont Graduate University where she teaches a Computational Thinking course for Masters and PhD students.
